ANGEL VIVALDI
Angel Vivaldi is a 19 year old guitar instrumentalist who hails form Central New Jersey. Angel is a well established guitarist, composer, and musician in the Central Jersey area.
He was first known as the notable soloing guitarist, composer and arranger for the late Hard Rock group Mercury's Ashes, (who was extremely notarized for headlining such clubs as Krome, the Birch Hill, and also opening up for Otep). Making a great name for himself with that band, Angel decided that his musical paths existed in working as an independent solo guitar instrumentalist.
Angel hooked up with drummer Mike Ruvolo while attending a Performing Arts High School for several months. After establishing an absolutely unique musical chemistry together, they both joined musical forced with the amazing Andrew Branagan on the bass guitar in the summer of 2003.
Playing many local shows around the Central Jersey area, Angel began to grow a rather decently large fan base. People who have NEVER heard a guitar instrumentalist before took a liking to the music played. At this time, Angel and the guys decided to finally put a recording together, which would then result in the Hymn Of Dreams demo, (released in the spring of 2004). This recording was and is still currently sold independently. The cd was sold well at shows. So well that it was out of production for about a month or so!
After the release there was nothing more for AV to do but to write more soulful, in-depth music and just constantly promote and play shows as much as time permitted. During a 1 week festival show AV and the guys had in Iselin, NJ, Angel brought Jay Blendowski on board as a second guitarist.
Work on another released had to be mentioned. So, in the midst of writing tons of new material, Angel headed into the studio with the guys and cut out the newly released Revelations Demo. This was not intended as a final product for Angel. He has written so much material that he was proud of that he really wanted to start sharing it with his audience. So he demoed three specific songs, All or Nothing, Dream Catcher, (redone), and Finale.
This was not sold but handed out to people all over the Jersey/New York area. The full length Revelations album is due to be released sometime in the middle of the summer of 2005.
With about 6 years of untrained, untaught and non-instructed guitar playing under his belt, along with his mainstream hard rock yet progressive sound, he is sure to make more of a name for himself in the music industry.
This past March, (2005), Angel Vivaldi also won Guitar Center's annual Guitarmageddon Guitar Compeition in East Brunswick, NJ. Although he didn't make it past the store finals, (due to some unfortunate guitar malfunctions... ), it was an extraordinary experience and opportunity for him to expose himself and get to meet some really amazingly talented guitarists and great people.
"My main goal is to make music that best represents who I am personally as well as an artist and composer. There are things my songs tell about me and life's experiences that no one knows; that’s no one usually can understand. So my message and emotion is all written in notes. As far as the music industry goes- My music will be heard by thousands of people who have never heard an instrumentalist before. And I will do everything in my power to get into their heads, and make them like instrumental music. If anything, at least open up their minds to a different way of getting a message into motion. I have the confidence and the drive it takes to get Guitar Instrumental music commercially played everywhere. And all I need now is the right opportunity to help push my career to the next level.
For those of you who have supported me- you KNOW you are loved unconditionally and your support is always appreciated and noticed. God Bless."
